5 Awesome Vacuum Chamber Experiments with The King of Random

If you follow any of my social media outlets, you'll know that I've been playing around with stabilizing and casting wood using a vacuum chamber and pressure pot. I recently made my own vacuum chamber and decided I wanted to do some non-woodworking related experiments.

A lot of people know who Grant Thompson A.K.A. The King of Random is, even if they don't recognize his name, they'll generally recognize his face from many of his popular videos that seem to show up nearly everywhere on the internet. What most people don't know is that he is actually my cousin and we get to spend about a week hanging out every year at our epic family reunions generally held somewhere in Utah, Idaho, Oregon or Canada.I had the opportunity to stop by his house near Salt Lake last week while visiting family in Idaho and I brought up some fun stuff to experiment with. Besides my vacuum chamber in the above video, I also brought him a bunch of Arizona Bark Scorpions in a jar. I kept them on ice so we could try to revive them but had to come up with a bunch experiments to do with dead scorpions in the end.

I originally planned on releasing the vacuum chamber build this week and hope to still get it out by Thursday if I can get the rest of the video edited and article written. (It helps that the video was already shot and mostly edited before I left on vacation last week.)
